Mortgage Connect Advisers

The 'A Team'

Craig Seton Adviser - Director

Craig started working in the banking sector in 1986, and after 10 years joined what is now Mortgage Connect. In 2000 he became a co-owner and Director of the company. Craig is a member of Financial Advice New Zealand.

Being a specialist Mortgage Adviser has allowed Craig to offer his clients advice on a large range of mortgage lenders and products. He gains great satisfaction from being able to correctly match the loan type and lender to the client’s circumstance and requirements.

While Craig provides clients with advice on all types of mortgage finance, he finds it particularly satisfying to help first home buyers. First home buyers require more advice and guidance to ensure they get the best result. He enjoys stepping first home buyers through the process of buying a home and how best to position themselves to obtain the finance they require.

Another area of expertise and personal interest for Craig is residential rental investment. He has built up a comprehensive knowledge in this field and is able to advise clients on complicated issues regarding loan structuring and ownership entities.

Craig thoroughly enjoys helping clients and seeing their financial situation grow over time. It’s a real thrill for him to see clients achieve their goals.

In his spare time, Craig enjoys mountain biking, keeping fit and spending time with his family.

Mortgage Connect Support Team

This is the reason they're the 'A Team'

Michelle joined our team in March 2003 after a 17-year career in banking previously working with AMP Banking, AMP Financial Services and Postbank/Post Office Savings Bank.

She has been involved in various banking and customer services roles over the many years within the Banking industry. Michelle’s expertise in lending is surpassed only by her passion for sharing knowledge and providing professional service and assistance to our clients.

Michelle was born in Reefton on the West Coast but has lived most of her life in the Manawatu area, apart from a period of 3 years living in the UK. She has a grown family and in her spare time enjoys spending time with family and friends, is a keen traveler, enjoys craft, sport and is keen on DIY.

Nikita started with us in 2016 as a Receptionist and has progressed into the role of Adviser Support.

A Manawatu girl at heart, she moved back to Palmerston North having worked in the hospitality industry in both Queenstown and Taupo for a number of years.

With experience in areas relating to customer service, Nikita’s skills are now utilised as a Personal Assistant to the mortgage adviser team and administrative support.

Amy is the newest addition to our team, starting her position as our Receptionist at the end of 2019.

New to the financial sector but not new to Mortgage Connect, Amy has used our services to purchase her first and then second home. She can relate to the sometimes-daunting process of purchasing a property.

You will no longer find her pouring pints at the local or unleashing her creativity decorating custom cakes, we think her customer service experience will be instrumental in ensuring your front-desk contact is friendly and accommodating.
